RESIDENTIAL CHECKUP 


An Energy checkup is a systematic and punctual
assessment
of the end-use of energy to identify any critical issues of technical or management nature. An Energy checkup guarantees savings in energy costs, a lower environmental impact, and higher 
competitiveness.

More specifically, this checkup represents the elaboration of a synthetic report which allows gaining an accurate portrait of the property’s condition. It is particularly useful when evaluating economic investments.

HOW DOES IT WORK 


The Energy Checkup consists of an operational process developed in several phases of work:

        1. On-site inspection in order to gather all relevant input and to carry out surveys and measurements relating to the building and systems
        2. Processing of the analysis, taking into account the energy bills
        3. Definition of the most suitable and appropriate operations for the renewal of the building

An energy diagnosis is a useful tool for any company as it allows to gather an in-depth overview of the energy consumption of its reality, which can be used to plan and develop any future investments.


The decree 102/2014 defines, however, the obligation to carry out the energy diagnosis for energy-intensive companies and large enterprises (criterion based on the number of employees and turnover and/or balance)

When planning an Energy Diagnosis, the following aspects are to be considered preliminarily:

        • the specific cost of energy saved
        • size of facilities and equipment
        • hours or year of system operation
        • the life expectancy of the systems
        • obvious negligence in the design, construction, and operation of facilities and systems
        • available budget

OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE


The Energy Diagnosis consists of an operational process developed in several phases of work: 

 

        • 1. Energy audit: data collection, on-site inspection, and potential measurements of specific energy parameters
        • 2. Report of energy diagnosis: analysis of data consumption, drafting of the energy balance, and modeling of the reality taken into account
        • 3. Measurement and quantification of the achievable energy savings taking into account the agreed objectives and constraints
        • 4. Comparison in terms of technical-economic analysis of potential interventions considering the role of possible incentive mechanisms
